It
all started with a customer who wanted more room for carving. She wanted a
table carved with the names of the children and grandchildren to give to her
grandmother. Four children and seven grandchildren.

Since
then others have come forward with requests for larger tables. Some to have
extra carving but often because they love the style. This in turn led to the
decorative carving.

Above
and left is the acanthus leaf carving. It is thought that this design was
brought back to England during the crusades.

Another
favorite we call "church windows" It
is a simple but
effective repetitive pattern derived from the dominant architecture of the
16 century.
